In celebration of its Centennial year, Columbus Academy is collecting stories, memories, anecdotes, historical footage and congratulatory messages from alumni and friends throughout the world.
Videos are presented by location, but you can also search by name or class year. Look for many more additions throughout 2011.
The purpose of this Centennial Video Project is to highlight the positive ways Academy has affected people’s lives and to chart the school’s reach across the globe.
Are you interested in sharing your story, remembering your favorite Academy moment or simply offering a happy birthday message? It’s simple.

Columbus Academy is one of the premier Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 coeducational college preparatory schools in the United States.
Our mission is to enrich the school’s academic tradition of excellence by valuing a broad diversity of students as we seek to develop the complete person: mind, body and character. The school rewards rigorous effort and accomplishment, fosters compassion, respect and moral courage, and insists on integrity, fair play and community service. Academy strives to develop and sustain a community of thoughtful, responsible, capable and confident citizens eager to engage in a pluralistic and ever-changing world.
Columbus Academy’s Centennial Celebration will include numerous events throughout the year and will involve all grade levels and sections of the school community.
Mark your calendars for the Centennial Gala on Saturday, April 9 - a memorable opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. Travel through time as life at Academy is recreated...featuring a speakeasy, diner, Woodstock and cover-band concert by CA's own Scott Razek and the X-Ray Specs! Please click here for tickets and sponsorship information.
Centennial Posters commemorating Academy’s 100 years will be produced and displayed throughout campus. These displays will contain historical facts and photos that will be grouped into categories and themes relevant to the school’s long-standing traditions and more recent changes.
Centennial Snapshots, fun facts about Academy's history, are being shared in classrooms and assemblies throughout all three divisions in order to educate current students about the school's Centennial.
The upcoming spring musical will be “The Music Man,” which is based in the early 20th century around the time when Columbus Academy was founded. A special afternoon matinee on Sunday, May 1, 2011, will include a reception for alumni as well as a backstage tour and special seating.
A celebration on the actual 100th anniversary of Columbus Academy's opening day will take place on Friday, September 23, 2011. More information on this event will be released at a later date.
